Arosa is in the canton of Graubunden in Switzerland, it is located at the end of the Schanfigg valley at an altitude of 1800 meters above sea level. Arosa is a tucked-away resort circled by mountains, literally at the end of the road and the end of the rail line. It has a small town look to it. Once filled with wooden Alpine chalets, most of the new construction has been Swiss square efficient mountain homes and modern hotels with style but little mountain atmosphere.

Activities
Arosa has been a well-known health resort for more than 100 years. Arosa has a wonderful location at the top of a valley, travelers can enjoy walking along the winter footpaths, ski in the winter world. The Bike-Downhilltrack in the summer, the Halfpipe in the winter, Nordic walk Trails, which are accessible the whole year, each will probably find something for its taste. Wonderfull are also the numerous hike-tracks around Arosa and in the Schanfigg valley, you'll find perfectly prepared winter hiking-tracks (40 km) in Arosa.
The hiking region boasts 200 kilometres of varied walking and hiking trails. For skiers and snowboarders there are 70 kilometres of groomed pistes as well as a 30-kilometre freeride area and a half-pipe. 13 transport facilities take passengers to altitudes of up to 2653 metres above sea level.
Transportation
Arosa is easy to reach by Arosa Express, there are direct trains to/from Paris/Hamburg (winter) - with an hourly service via Zurich. A delightful railway journey on board the Arosa Express will bring travelers from Chur, over spectacular viaducts and through magnificent scenery up to 1800 metres. A free bus runs at least every 30 minutes in Arosa, and take travelers to every attraction.
