| Guttannen is in the canton of Bern in Switzerland, lies on the Grimsel pass road in the Oberhasil region of the Bernese Oberland. It is the highest settlement in the Haslital, at an altitude of 1057 meters is a close-set settlement: avaianche paths and flooding hazards limit the area of available building land. There are four lakes in the municipality: Lake Oberaar, Lake Grimsel, Lake Räterichsboden and Lake Gelmer. In the western part of the municipality are the mountains Schreckhorn, Lauteraarhorn and Finsteraarhorn. Guttannen also includes Finsteraar Glacier, Lauteraar Glacier, Unteraar Glacier, Grueben Glacier, and Bächli Glacier. |
