Maienfeld is the home of Heidi from the children's book by Johanna Spyri. It is located in Grisons, not far from the border with Liechtenstein and Austria. The hotel is located just above the town and only a 5 minute walk from the local Heidi attractions, the Heidi-house and Heidi-village.

There is a medium sized restaurant with a large terrace where guests can enjoy the lovely views from the elavated position. The hotel is a quite traditional building, painted white with wooden shutters on the windows. The lobby is small and is actually part of the restaurant at the front of the hotel, overlooking the surrounding countryside.
