There is an imposing traditional restaurant overlooking the gardens at the rear and serves breakfast and evening meals. In addition, a lively Chinese restaurant offers a wide variety of oriental cuisine. The wood and leather bar is popular with guests and locals alike, due to its cosy and warm atmosphere in a medieval decor.

Part of the building dates back to the 15th century, but a new, modern wing has recently been added with conference facilities, overlooking gardens. The lobby is fairly large with wooden beams, whitewashed walls and stone alcoves which provide the reception area a traditional country feel. This is a pleasant hotel with a mixture of architectual styles ranging from medieval to modern. It offers a good standard of facilities. However, whilst the rooms are adequate, they are a little disappointing.
