La Chaux-de-Fonds is in the canton of Neuchatel, Switzerland. It is located in the Jura mountains at an altitude of 1000 meters, is one of the highest towns in Switzerland. La Chaux-de-Fonds is a few kilometers away from French border. La Chaux-de-Fonds is regarded as the birthplace of watch-making worldwide , it have received recognition from UNESCO for their exceptional universal value. And also as a major centre for the Jugendstil in Switzerland.

 La Chaux-de-Fonds is the home of many famous people. The famous architect Le Corbusier was born in 1887 at La Chaux-de-Fonds. Louis Chevrolet who found the Chevrolet Motor Car Company, Blaise Cendrars whi is novelist and poet also born here.

International Clockmaking Museum is located in La Chaux-de-Fonds, The Museum is considered as an important showcase for the history of the timekeeping arts, with over 400 exhibits.

La Plage des Six-Pompes is  international festival of street theatre in La Chaux-de-Fonds. It is held in August of every year. The town is filled  with sunshades, bars, snack-bars, bathing huts, and numerous lively theatre acts .

Louis Chevrolet Event is  international vintage car memorial rally from La Chaux-de-Fonds to Beaune .
