Maienfeld is in the canton of Graubunden, Switzerland. Maienfeld is located on the right side of the Rhine valley, it is bordered on the west by Bad Ragaz, on the west and north by Flasch. It is a popular tourist destination in the Alps.

Johanna Spyri's classic book Heidi is largely set in Maienfeld. "Heididorf" village and house now is a centre and museum, located nearby Maienfeld.  Follow the marked Heidi trail through an idyllic scenery to Heidalp, via Heididorf and past the Heidi fountain.
